Happy End of Financial Year
Well its been an Interesting Financial Year - How was yours!
In the Recruitment space its had its high's and low's.
Centralization is back on the table with National Companies closing down
State offices and taking the work back to head office which has been done
before a few times over the years and has come back some years later.
Companies have put a hold on any new hires and managers are taking longer
to go through the hiring process to make a decision partly to do with internal HR have
taken control of all new hires on the instruction from management.
You could say its been similar to the GFC period but different and Company Insolvencies
seem to be on the rise or people are talking more about the ones
that are going into Receivership but Financial Controllers and Credit Managers are experiencing
more losses due to insolvency.
Managers are talking about how they have a stable work force which is true but when jobs are
tight people tend to stay put waiting for the economy to pick up so they can move on with their
career or time to change.
But there are industries that are busy and plenty of work and the staff are flat out
with demand and have a stable, secure job.
There is a growing interest in Alternative Finance and Credit Insurance (claims are up) to assist
companies in these times who need Capital for Growth and Expansion but also Protection
against client insolvency.
So hence the high's and low's of Industries in Western Australia.
Perth's a great place to live as we know and theses times have been and gone before so this
financial year may have been different but it will come back stronger than ever I'm sure -
so a time to be patient.
So get out that bottle you have been hanging onto for a while, or flick the lid of a beer or brew
up a good cup of tea and bring in the New Financial Year.
Let's make the New Financial Year a Good Year.
